A STRIKE by Stansted Airport workers which was set to cause chaos over the bank holiday weekend has been called off.

The dispute, between cabin staff and baggage handlers who are members of the Unite and GMB unions and airport services business Swissport, was scrapped after hours of talks.

But a separate strike by more than 30 security scanners employed by Airport Services is still due to go ahead on Monday and could cause problems at the airport.
