Tomorrow the Stars of Suffolk 2013 will be revealed during a heart-warming ceremony that celebrates the community heroes who make a difference on a daily basis.
Our panel of judges have drawn up a shortlist of finalists from the 300 nominations received this year.
Archant Suffolk editor-in-chief Terry Hunt said: “The judges faced a tough challenge this year, we had more entries than ever before and each one would be a deserving winner.”
More than 200 people including finalists, their friends and relatives, judges and sponsors will gather at Suffolk New College, in Ipswich, tomorrow night for the awards ceremony.
There are 13 categories ranging from unsung hero to police person on the year, and we will also be announcing an overall winner and handing out two special recognition awards.
Mr Hunt added: “The Stars of Suffolk is all about celebrating ordinary people who do extraordinary things.
“Many of the people nominated do not release just how special what they are doing is until we contact them to tell them they have been put forward for an award.”
