AN accident involving a lorry and a van led to the closure of a section of rural road this morning.
The accident took place on the A1120 Stowmarket Road in Stonham Aspal and involved an HGV and a Vauxhall Combo van at about 7.30am.
The road was closed in both directions between the junctions for Scott’s Hill and the A140 main road.
Police had for the vehicles to be recovered and for the road to be cleared before it reopened at just after noon.
Nobody involved in the accident suffered any serious injuries but both drivers were taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with minor injuries.
