POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road crash outside a supermarket.
The collision happened at the Asda store off Wilkes Way in Stowmarket shortly after 2pm on Friday.
An 89-year-old man from Needham Market, who has not yet been named, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, but sadly died a short time later.
The car driver, a 57-year-old woman from Stowmarket, was uninjured.
A section of the car park was closed for around five hours while forensic investigators carried out their enquiries.
Any witnesses to the crash are urged to contact investigating officers at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at police headquarters on 01473 613500.
