A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

The accident happened in Iliffe Way, Stowmarket, at the junction with Finborough Road, just after 10.50am.

It involved a female pedestrian and a Ford Galaxy.

A Suffolk police spokeswoman said: “The injured party is going to be taken to hospital for a check over but the injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.”

The road was partially blocked but is now clear.
