FIRE CREWS have been called out to a tree ablaze in a Suffolk meadow.
The fire was reported just before 6pm in Pike’s Meadow, Combs Ford in Stowmarket.
A crew from Stowmarket went to the scene and spotted the smoke but had to continue on foot as it was impossible to access the tree in the fire engine.
They are using canvas buckets and a hose reel but expect to be there until at least 7pm to battle the flames.
