A MAN has this morning been arrested by Essex Police officers in connection with a rape in Suffolk.
The 53-year-old man from the Stowmarket area was arrested on the A12 at Colchester in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of rape and false imprisonment.
The man is currently being held in custody at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
The arrest relates to an incident which happened overnight on Friday and Saturday at an address in the Stowmarket area.
