Stowmarket Salvation Army’s over-60s group has shown its support for Operation Christmas Child (OCC) by filling shoe boxes for children overseas.
Members have collected gifts, toiletries and toys, while others have knitted soft toys to put in the boxes. OCC is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project. Each year people across the UK wrap, pack and fill nearly a million shoe boxes with gifts which are then sent to children in need overseas.
