A Stowmarket charity Christmas card shop is seeking volunteers to help run the pop-up store during the festive period.

Cards for Good Causes, the UK’s largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation, operates a network of 300 pop-up shops across the country and relies on some 6,000 volunteers to do so.

The Stowmarket shop will be open in the library from October 24 throughout the festive season and volunteers usually work a morning or an afternoon session. Training is provided.

Mary Cronin, area organiser at Cards for Good Causes, said: “If you have some free time over the next few months and want to help spread some festive cheer, volunteering is a fun thing to do.

“Our shops simply could not operate without our wonderful team of volunteers, many of whom return year after year, but we are always looking for more to join them.

“The profit generated by the shops makes a huge difference to the charities and the vital work they do.”
