Despite the weather, music lovers enjoyed a variety of bands at Stowmarket Community Sports and Social Club’s Music on the Pitch event.
Organisers said numbers were up on previous years during the first four hours of the event, but the wet weather did force many music fans into the club house.
When the rain cleared, plenty of people poured back onto the pitch to enjoy the last two bands – Ska’d 4 Life and Innerheart Reggae Band.
The event, which was held on Saturday, July 29, also featured Zoom Club, 23X, East Coast Collective, 1990 and Shoot the Drummer.
A spokesman for the event said: “We’d like to say a special thank you to Nik Taylor of Taylor Carpets, for his contribution of carpeting, and thanks also to the supporters and volunteers of the event, including Bidfood and BuildBase.
“The day was a success and the club are looking forward to another event next year.”
