FIREFIGHTERS tackled a large bale of straw on fire in a field.
A crew from Princes Street station, Ipswich, was called to a field off the A137 at Wherstead at 12.10am today. They found one bale of straw alight and used one hose reel to extinguish it.
The incident, which is being treated as suspicious, was over by 12.35am.
