ENTERTAINMENT ranging from fire breathers to street runners is being laid on for young people in Bury St Edmunds.
The event, which includes music from disc jockeys in the area, is called UV Bury 09 and will be held at the Corn Exchange in Bury St Edmunds on Friday.
Young people themselves have booked performers for the event, which will run from 7.30pm until 11pm.
Joe Weaver, from record label Toonteen Industries, said: “It's a real pleasure to know that Bury's young bands actually have an event to play at that will actually be attended by their peers.
“Teenagers in Bury often do not have many things to do and it's good to know that teenagers are doing something productive with their time, whether they be organising, helping advertise, or even performing.”
Tickets, which cost 3, are available from Bury St Edmunds Bus Station, Soundsplus and the Tourist Information Centre, all in Bury St Edmunds
