To make sure they had perfect pitch for their upcoming concert, members of a Sudbury choir were given free hearing tests by audiologists at the town’s Specsavers branch.
Two members of Sudbury Sings, Marc Swainston and Fiona Yerofeyev, are also part of the team at Specsavers in the town and suggested the choir take up the offer of free hearing checks before their performance at St Peter’s Church.
The show, on Sunday, June 17, raised £1,600 for the Salvation Army.
Westly Fox, audiology director at Specsavers in Sudbury, said: “Singers always make sure to warm up their voices before a performance, so why not warm up your hearing – or at least make sure everything is in check. We offer free hearing tests in store so there was no cost to any of the choir. We are looking forward supporting the choir in the future.’
