RETAILERS and shoppers in Suffolk are being urged to help police identify a suspected burglar who is wanted by Essex Police.
A guest who had been staying at the Saracen’s Head hotel on Chelmsford High Street was captured on hotel CCTV stealing a three-figure sum of cash from reception before then leaving the premises.
The crime was committed shortly before 4.30am on Wednesday, July 11.
Investigating Officer, Pc Marcus Baker, said: “This man gave hotel staff false details so we’re at a loss at the moment as to who he is. We have obtained this very good CCTV image of him and hope that someone can provide us with a name. We know that he travelled through Suffolk, visiting Ipswich, before moving on to Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, Wiltshire and London in July.”
Anyone with information in connection with this burglary is urged to Essex Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
