The chief executive of the Suffolk Agricultural Association has left the organisation five months after taking up the post.
In a statement released today, Nicola Bateman said she had enjoyed her time at the SAA “enormously”, and working on one of the most successful Suffolk Shows of recent years.
She added: “However, with the support and understanding of the SAA Trustees, I have decided to return to the mainstream events industry, which is where I have worked for many years. I wish the fantastic team of staff and stewards the very best.”
Robert Rous, SAA chairman, will become interim chief executive, with the support of the trustees and staff and will now undertake a review of the leadership needs of the Association.
Mr Rous said: “We have very much enjoyed working with Nicola, and I would like to thank her for her contribution to the SAA.’’
