A section of the A11 near Mildenhall was closed this afternoon following a collision involving four vehicles.

The incident, at about 12.10pm, is believed to have involved three cars and a lorry, although police say there have not been any reports of people being seriously injured.

Two people were taken to hospital as a result of the collision.

Paramedic officer, Scott Ballam who attended the scene said: “Two casualties were treated at the scene and a number of others were assessed. A man in his 40s was treated for potential spinal injuries and a woman for a minor head injury. Both were conveyed to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment. Their conditions weren’t thought to be life threatening.”
