Seven people including a 10-year-old child have been rescued from cars stuck in high waters.
Drivers have been getting trapped in floods across much of Suffolk, especially in western parts.
Four cars have been stuck between Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill. Seven people were rescued, including a 10-year-old child believed to be boy. No injuries have been reported.
Fire chiefs are warning drivers not to drive through flood water and to find alternative routes.
There is also flooding in Horringer and Elmswell.
North Essex appears to have had less wet weather overnight but police are still warning drivers to take care.
