Neighbouring Suffolk homes were burgled soon after a grey van was seen driving around the area.

The properties in Hethersett Way, Red Lodge, were both burgled on Monday, July 16.

One of the homes was entered via an unsecured rear window some time between 2.20-7.30pm, when the offender stole an iPhone and watch.

The second happened between 7.15am and 4.30pm, when an offender forced a rear window and stole cash.

Police want to trace a silver/gun-metal grey Ford Transit van seen in the area that morning.

They would also like to speak to a white man in his early 20s wearing a white T-shirt and dark baseball cap who was seen knocking on doors in the area the day after.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or who has any information about these crimes is asked to contact Suffolk police on 101 quoting reference 37/39941/18.

Alternatively people can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
