East Anglia is getting ready to join the royal wedding celebrations this weekend.
Here is our round-up of places where parties and other special events are being held in honour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
In Clarkson Street, Ipswich, neighbours are getting together to toast the happy couple at a festive street party, starting at 3.30pm.
The mayor of Ipswich, Jane Riley, will be going along to join in the celebrations.
Also in Ipswich, Pauls Sports and Social Club will be celebrating from 10am onwards, with the wedding being screened at the club, followed later in the day by the FA Cup Final.
Members of the Ipswich and Suffolk Club in Northgate Street will be taking part in a black-tie “wedding dinner of the year” from 7pm, with a four-course dinner which will be a fusion of British and US cuisine, in honour of the couple.
Care homes in the area are preparing to party too, with Aveley Lodge Care Home in Colchester serving an English-themed afternoon tea from 3.30pm onwards.
The home will be decorated for the occasion, with residents and visitors wearing their finest clothing, including hats.
Chalkney House Residential Home in the town is also holding a royal wedding party, with family and friends joining their loved ones for food, drinks and music.
Hadleigh Show in Holbecks Park is joining in the royal wedding celebrations on Saturday, with red, white and blue bunting to create a “quintessentially British” atmosphere.
Doors open at 8am, with a range of attractions including livestock, demonstrations, a flower show, children’s attractions, an art show, trade stands and fairground rides.
Another street party is taking place in Trafalgar Close, Ipswich, which will see neighbours dress up and bring out a big TV screen to watch the event live. Around 40 people are set to turn out for a barbecue and British-themed treats.
Many pubs and bars across the area are also bringing out the bunting and the bubbly for the occasion.

The Swan, Lavenham
A gala lunch will be served as part of a swinging 1940s weekend, in honour of the royal family. You will need to book for the occasion. Arrive at 11.30am, before the ceremony begins, to take your seat.
The menu includes one of the Queen Mother’s favourite dishes to start – eggs Drumkilbo – a mixture of hard boiled eggs in a Marie Rose sauce with shrimp and lobster.
To follow is venison wellington with summer vegetables, potatoes and carrot puree, followed by summer berry Eton mess.
The meal is £32.95 per person or £25 for under 12s.
The Boosh Bar, Bury St Edmunds
Quirky finger sandwiches and cocktails will be on the menu as this funky bar holds a street party, spilling out on to the pavement.
You can toast Prince Harry and Meghan with a glass of Boosh Juice – rum, blue curacao, Midori, pineapple juice and Licor 43.
The Belstead Arms, Ipswich
The pub will be holding a celebration barbecue from 2pm to 7pm.
A cream tea event is also being held to celebrate the royal wedding on Saturday, starting at 2pm. Tea for two is £10, or with a glass of Prosecco each the price is £15.
Greene King pubs, Suffolk
Across the county, many Greene King pubs are planning to screen the wedding, while also pulling pints of the Bury St Edmunds brewery’s seasonal royal beer, Something Borrowed, Something Brewed.
The American-style pale ale is 4% and has citrusy, tropical fruit characteristics.
Five Bells, Colne Engaine
This north Essex pub is serving a royal wedding afternoon tea buffet from 2pm, for £8.75 per person to include a tea or coffee, or a glass of Prosecco for a £3 supplement.
The pub will be open from 9am, serving breakfast baps, teas and coffees during the build-up, with live screening of the wedding from noon.
You are asked to book tickets for the afternoon tea in advance.
Pennikity Pots Ceramics Cafe, Ipswich
The cafe is taking a royal wedding theme on Saturday, with the chance to paint commemorative ceramics and enjoy a cream tea or a patriotic cupcake. The event will run from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
Yates Colchester
There will be a royal wedding party, with all the footage being shown through the day and celebrations into the evening with DJ Ben Freeston.
Special royal wedding cocktails will also be served.
Toby Carvery, Colchester
A royal breakfast event is being held at this carvery in Colchester from 8am, with activities for children including fancy dress, activities and face painting. The cost is £4.99 for a children’s breakfast and a small juice, and it needs to be booked in advance.
Walkabout Colchester
If you feel like celebrating into Saturday night, this Aussie-themed sports bar is holding the “Royal Rager: The royal wedding after party”, from 9pm right through to 3.30am.
There will be confetti cannons, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face masks, giveaways and drink deals.
