Thames Coastguard carried out a search yesterday following reports of smoke near Greater Gabbard Windfarm.
At 4.18pm yesterday, following reports of white smoke approximately one mile off Southwold, Thames and Humber Coastguards carried out a communications search.
A Greater Gabbard Windfarm vessel proceeded to the area with nothing untoward found.
It transpired a helicopter had been in the area carrying out exercises using smoke.
