999 operator
The general enquiries number for the fire service is currently down because of a fault with the line.
The email for general enquiries is also affected by the fault, but residents are being reassured the 999 service is still operating as normal.
A statement on the Suffolk FRS Facebook page reads: “Suffolk fire and rescue phone lines and email for general enquiries are currently unavailable. The 999 service is unaffected. We will update you as soon as possible when normal service has resumed.”
