Police called to Ipswich waterfront amid concerns for safety of man on Stoke Bridge

Police were called to Ipswich Waterfront this morning amid concerns for a man on Stoke Bridge.

A police spokesman said: “We were called just before 11am to Stoke Bridge in Ipswich to reports of concerns for the safety of a man on the bridge.

“The matter has now been resolved.”

A witness reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area at the time of the incident.

The police spokesman added that the situation was under control by 11.20am.
