A man was found with stab wounds in a Suffolk town centre this evening.
Suffolk police were called at 6.15pm to reports of a person with a knife in the pedestrianised area between Cornhill and Brentgovel Street in Bury St Edmunds.
On arrival, officers found a man had suffered a stab wound. He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
One person has been arrested and remains in police custody.
Suffolk detectives are investigating the alleged serious assault and appealing for witnesses.
