Suffolk road reopens after four hour closure

A stretch of road near Bury St Edmunds has reopened after it was blocked for nearly four hours following a collision between two lorries.

Traffic was held up on the southbound carriageway of the A11 at Barton Mills.

Four fire crews were sent to the scene, between Mildenhall Road and the B1085.

Firefighters from Mildenhall, Newmarket and Bury were called at around 4.30pm to help cut free at least one person from the wreckage. Paramedics were also called to the scene but both drivers were uninjured.
