THREE ministers have been recognised for their dedication and commitment to the life of the church at a special service.
The Rt Rev Nigel Stock, the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, installed an honorary Canon and licensed two Assistant Bishops during the evensong service at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, in Bury St Edmunds, yesterday afternoon.
The Rev Dr Ian McIntosh, from Ely, was installed as an Honorary Canon of the cathedral.
Retired bishops the Right Rev Sandy Millar, of Aldeburgh, and the Right Rev Graeme Knowles, of Bury St Edmunds, former Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral, were both licensed to serve as honorary assistant bishops within Suffolk.
