SUFFOLK: Police are today warning motorists to be on their guard after more than 30 reports of falling trees and branches overnight and into this morning.

A spokesman for the constabulary said high winds had brought down a number of trees although there had been no reports of any injuries.

He said: “We have had 35 incidents of trees and branches falling that have been reported to us from all over the county. We are advising motorists to be on their guard and take particular care along country roads.”

Among the routes affected are Marlesford Road in Hatcheson, High Road in Trimley St Martin, Old High Road in Yoxford, Abbey Road in Flixton near Bungay and an unclassified road near the industrial estate in Rougham.
