Police have detained three people after three suspected illegal immigrants were allegedly seen climbing over a fence at Felixstowe Port.
Suffolk Constabulary has said they were called to two separate incidents in Felixstowe in the early hours of Monday morning.
Three people were detained after reports that three suspected illegal immigrants were seen climbing over a fence at the port at 2.30am.
A short time later, a police helicopter was among emergency services called to the pier following concerns for the safety of a man. He was found and treated by medics.

Police were called to two separate incidents in Felixstowe in the early hours of Monday morning, 9 October.
Officers attended Walton Avenue in the town at approximately 2:30am, following reports that three people, believed to be illegal immigrants, had been seen climbing over the fence from the port.
Three people were detained by police, and port police, who work closely with Immigration Officers from the Border Agency in these situations and who will remove those with EU treaty rights, who have no proof of work or are not seeking employment, or other foreign nationals who are here illegally.
Police were also called to Felixstowe Pier at approximately 3:30am following concerns for safety of a man.
Together with ambulance crews, firefighters, the coastguard and police helicopter, a man was located safely and is being looked after by medical professionals.
