PUPILS and staff are celebrating after impressing inspectors.

Sandlings Primary School in Sutton Heath, near Woodbridge, has been rated “good” in its latest Ofsted report.

It is an improvement on the “satisfactory” rating of 2010.

Inspectors were particularly impressed by the behaviour of children and praised the progress pupils made in reading, writing and maths, along with the quality of teaching and levels of attainment.

Headteacher Patricia Toal, who has been at the school for two years, said they were thrilled with the report.

“It is testament to the hard work of all concerned – teachers, pupils, parents and governors,” she said. “Everyone is determined to improve.”
