The 17-year-old male, from Ipswich, is accused of dangerous driving, failing to stop for officers, driving other than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.

He is said to have been involved in a police pursuit after allegedly failing to stop for officers in Grimwade Street, Ipswich, at around 12.45pm yesterday.

Officers allegedly followed a vehicle through parts of Ipswich and on to the Stowmarket-bound carriageway of the A14, before the vehicle pursuit was stopped when the car entered Great Blakenham.

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due before South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court this morning.

Another 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old male, both from Ipswich, were arrested over the same incident on suspicion of supplying heroin.

They have been released on police bail to return to Ipswich police station on December 21.
