A TEENAGE pedestrian has been killed today and another injured after they were involved in a collision with a car.
A TEENAGE pedestrian has been killed today and another injured after they were involved in a collision with a car.
The accident happened in Main Road, Harwich, at about 1.05am this morning.
A silver car was being driven in the Colchester direction when the crash took place.
A 17-year-old girl, from Harwich, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Colchester General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
An 18-year-old man, also from Harwich, was believed to have been struck by the vehicle. He suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
Two 20-year-old men from the Harwich area have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are currently in police custody.
