TWO teenagers have pleaded not guilty to causing the death of Copleston High School student Sian Ryan in a car crash on the A14.
At Ipswich Crown Court yesterday Perri Daniel, 19, of Upper Cavendish Street, Ipswich, and 18-year-old Gavin Sahota, of Stewart Young Grove, Kesgrave, denied causing death by dangerous driving.
On the evening of Monday August 17, 16-year-old Sian was the passenger in a car which crashed on the A14 at Nacton, colliding with a road sign at the side of the carriageway.
During a brief hearing the pair both entered not guilty pleas and will now face trial by jury at Ipswich Crown Court.
The seven-day trial will be heard in front of Judge David Goodin starting on Tuesday June 1.
The two defendants remain on bail on the condition they do not drive.
