Temperatures across East Anglia plummeted to as low as -5C last night, but forecasters have warned the weekend is set to be milder.
The lowest temperatures were recorded at Norwich Airport where coldest temperatures were recorded as 5.3C.
Phil Garner, forecaster at Weatherquest said: “Diamond dust is not something that’s been reported, but it was a really chilly night.
“For the next few days it’s looking milder with rain overnight and for tomorrow morning.
“It will be a fine day on saturday with temperatures of 13 or 14C throughout the weekend.”
