Essex firefighters put out a boat fire today in Heybridge Basin, Maldon.
It happened just after 5.30pm on a fishing boat on mud while the tide was out.
The 30 meter long boat was reported to be around 70% alight with crews wearing breathing apparatus using one hose reel and a main jet to try and put it out.
The blaze was extinguished by 7.20pm, with the crews from Baddow and Maldon (two) remaining at the scene for around an hour to ensure all hot spots were dealt with.
