COASTGUARDS worked to rescue three people who had become stranded onboard a fishing board.
Thames Coastguard received a call on VHF radio at 12.57pm yesterday , after reports that three people were stuck onboard a seven metre fishing boat.
The boat, which is called Sweet Freedom, had suffered from engine failure off the coast of Walton on the Naze.
Those onboard were able to put out an anchor, while Thames Coastguard tasked the Walton and Frinton RNLI all weather lifeboat to their assistance.
The lifeboat towed the casualty into Suffolk Yacht Harbour on the River Orwell, where they were met by Felixstowe Coastguard.
