THE Conservatives have retained their seat at Walberswick and Wenhaston on Suffolk Coastal district following a by-election caused by the resignation of Kevin Keable.
Mr Keable was cabinet member with responsibility for community well being, but resigned earlier this year when work commitments took him from the district.
Tory candidate Peter Austin polled 316 and John Barrett for the Greens received 163. Turnout was 30.5%.
