SUFFOLK police have warned motorists that they should expect delays on the A14 around Felixstowe today as high winds have lead to the periodic closure of the port.
The port was shut intermittently this morning as the gales buffeted the region and police said it was likely to close and re-open throughout the day, depending on conditions.
They advised motorists that lorries would be stacking up in the port and it was likely to cause congestion on the A14 Felixstowe approach road.
The high winds are forecasted to last until tomorrow.
