Two cars have crashed on the A134, between Bury St Edmunds and Ixworth, which shut the main road in both directions.
Suffolk police were called to the scene of an accident around 1.25pm after reports of two cars colliding between the junctions to Bury Road and Cutters Lane.
Paramedics also attended the scene of the crash involving a blue ford Kuga and a black Volvo, and treated the passenger of the Ford for minor injuries.
Officers temporarily closed the road in both directions but one lane has since been reopened to ease congestion.
Recovery vehicles arrived at the accident around 3pm and are removing the cars involved.
