A MUM-of-two was killed by a train as her boyfriend dragged her across the rail line against her will, a court heard today.
Chelmsford Crown Court was told today that Darren Palmer dragged Kelly Mack across the tracks at the Hythe station in Colchester in March 2008.
The court heard that Palmer, 39, wanted Miss Mack to join him on the Clacton-bound side of the line and pulled her across when level crossing barriers were down and a train was due.
Miss Mack, 29, had originally attempted to follow Palmer but her one of her boots had become stuck and she fell over.
A bystander helped her back on to the London-bound side of the track but Palmer then walked back across the line and was attempting to pull her over the rails when the train arrived.
Palmer, from Clacton, denies manslaughter.
