Train disruption is expected between Colchester and Ipswich this morning following an earlier fire – which damaged signalling equipment.

Services running through Colchester and Ipswich may be cancelled or revised, and disruption is expected until 2pm.

The line-side fire near the railway, which damaged signalling equipment near Colchester, means services in both directions between Liverpool Street and Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich are disrupted.

The following amendments to the morning peak will apply:

A shuttle service will operate between Manningtree and Harwich Town and will commence at 6am from Manningtree and 6:30am from Harwich Town.
