Train services will be unable to call at Colchester Town between 1pm and 4.30pm today due to high temperatures causing damage to the railway infrastructure, Greater Anglia have said.
The following services will be amended:
The 11:38 Liverpool Street to Colchester Town will terminate at Colchester
The 12:00 Walton on the Naze to Colchester will run direct from Hythe to Colchester
The 12:20 Colchester to Colchester Town will be cancelled
The 12:35 Colchester Town to London Liverpool Street will start from Colchester
The 12:38 Liverpool Street to Colchester Town will terminate at Colchester
The 12:56 Colchester to Walton on the Naze will run direct from Colchester to Hythe
The 13:00 Colchester Town to Colchester will be cancelled
The 13:00 Walton on the Naze to Colchester will run direct from Hythe to Colchester
The 13:20 Colchester to Colchester Town will be cancelled
The 13:35 Colchester Town to London Liverpool Street will start from Colchester
The 13:38 Liverpool Street to Colchester Town will terminate at Colchester
The 13:56 Colchester to Walton on the Naze will run direct from Colchester to Hythe
The 14:00 Colchester Town to Colchester will be cancelled
The 14:00 Walton on the Naze to Colchester will run direct from Hythe to Colchester
The 14:20 Colchester to Colchester Town will be cancelled
The 14:35 Colchester Town to London Liverpool Street will start from Colchester
The 14:38 Liverpool Street to Colchester Town will terminate at Colchester

The 15:56 Colchester to Walton on the Naze will run direct from Colchester to Hythe
The 16:00 Colchester Town to Colchester will be cancelled

The 16:35 Colchester Town to Liverpool Street starts from Colchester
The following services are also amended, but Greater Anglia says track inspections will take place throughout the day, and therefore these services may be subject to change. The company is urging people to check their journey before travelling.
