An Abellio Greater Anglia service has been cancelled after a train hit something on the tracks.
The 1pm service from Norwich to London Liverpool Street collided with an object just south of Stowmarket.
A spokesman for Greater Anglia said no one had been injured in the collision and the train was not so badly damaged it would need to be taken out of service.
However one service, the 3.30pm from Liverpool Street to Norwich, would be cancelled as a result of the incident.
