THERE are currently delays to a number of train services after a fault to a train in the Diss area.

The 10am Norwich to London Liverpool Street service was held up in Diss after a fault was detected by the driver.

A spokesman for train operator National Express East Anglia said the delays are currently minor and residual delays are expected to subsequent trains.

Further hold-ups have been caused by a signalling problem in the Gidea Park area earlier this morning.

The NXEA spokesman said the line from Ipswich to Felixstowe reopened this morning at around 8.30am.

A bus replacement service had been put on after a car crashed into a freight train on the track where Lindbergh Road meets Cobham Road, partially derailing the train, which was carrying chemicals.
