TRAINS between Ipswich and Felixstowe have been suspended until further notice this morning.
Commuters travelling to work will have to use bus replacement services extending their journey times by up to 30 minutes.
The delays have been caused by signalling problems on the railway line and engineers from National Rail are currently on site working to fix the problem.
A National Express East Anglia spokesman said: “We are experiencing considerable delays due to signalling problems and a freight train that is trying to get out of Felixstowe.
“Services were becoming more and more delayed so we have taken the decision to suspend services.
“Buses are operating on the routes, we cannot say at this time when the situation will be resolved.”
The routes affected include those between Ipswich and Westerfield, Derby Road, Trimley and Felixstowe.
