DRIVERS are being warned to watch out for surface water and deep puddles on the county’s roads this morning, as heavy rain overnight has left road surfaces very slippery.
There are few incidents to report across the region, although surface water is forcing traffic to slow considerably on stretches of the A14 between Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds, and on the southbound A12 going towards Boreham at junction 19.
Slow-moving traffic is also building up near Ipswich docks, heading towards Bishops Hill, as drivers wait for a broken down car to be recovered.
The region’s trains are largely running on time, although some services from Stowmarket to London Liverpool Street are facing short delays of around eight minutes.
