TRAFFIC is running freely again on the A14 after an earlier accident involving a lorry and a car.
The collision happened on the A14 eastbound at junction 56 for Wherstead just after 8.30am and emergency services were scrambled to the scene.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said: “A car driver called us saying they had collided with a lorry which made their car spin round so it was facing the wrong way.
“The road was completely blocked with traffic queuing back up to Copdock.”
No-one is believed to have been injured in the accident.
An earlier collision on the A14 westbound just before the Needham Market junction at 7am has now been cleared.
It involved a Scania Tractor arctic lorry, a silver Astra van and a silver Nissan van.
