A CAR was this morning reported travelling the wrong way down the A14, police said.
The car, described as a small vehicle, similar to a Fiesta, was spotted travelling in the eastbound carriageway, against the flow of traffic between the junction with the A11 and the A142 near Newmarket.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said officers failed to find the car and it is believed the vehicle has made its way safely off the road.
She said there are no further problems on the roads ahead of the morning rush hour.
Meanwhile train operator National Express East Anglia are reporting a good service on all routes across the region, including the Ipswich to London main line.
