A group of travellers parked up overnight at Ram Meadow in Bury St Edmunds.

They moved onto the car park at the home of Bury Town FC, off Cotton Lane, yesterday evening, just as the club were playing Dereham Town at home in a Bostik North Division fixture.

A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said: “Some travellers have arrived on a car park off Cotton Lane.

“The group have arrived and look to be planning to stay overnight at the car park there.”
