Tuddenham: Man taken to Addenbrooke’s following collision

A man has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital after a collision between a lorry and a van.

Suffolk police, along with fire and ambulance crews were also the scene of the incident, near to Junction 40 of the A14.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said one appliance from Mildenhall was sent to the scene, along with a pump and a rescue vehicle from Bury St Edmunds.

The crews were mobilised at 7.02pm and on arrival crews found one van and one lorry with one person trapped.

They stabilised the HGV, made the scene safe and rescued one person using specialist cutting equipment.

The man taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, was in the van.

The stop message was received at 7.42pm and all crews were back at base by 8.13pm.
