A woman was taken to hospital following one of two crashes on the A14 this morning.
Police were called at 8.55am to reports of a three-vehicle collision on the A14 eastbound near the junction with the A140, near the slip road.
No injuries were reported and the incident was cleared at 9.30am.
Four minutes later, at 8.59am, a second incident was reported on the A14 eastbound near junction 51 (Needham Market) involving two vehicles – a Peugeot Partner van and a Jaguar F-Pace SUV.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the incident to deal with a vehicle fire.
One lane was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident but the road re-opened at 10.57am.
The incidents caused some congestion issues and traffic heading to Ipswich was affected.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 9.01am with reports of a collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A14.
“We sent one ambulance and took a patient to Ipswich Hospital for further treatment.”
