POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road crash that killed two people and left another seriously injured.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road crash that killed two people and left another seriously injured.
The crash happened at around 11.30pm last night on the B1508 Colchester Road, near West Bergholt.
The female driver of a silver Audi A3 and her male passenger were both killed when their car left the road and collided with a lamppost and a wall, near the junction of Maltings Park Lane.
Both were from the Colchester area and in their 20s but have not yet been formerly identified.
A 21-year-old local man, who was also in the vehicle, was taken to Colchester general Hospital with serious injuries.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the Audi, which was travelling towards Wormingford, before the collision and need to trace another vehicle believed to have left Maltings Park Lane, in the direction of Colchester, around the time of the crash.
